But FireUp is a regular here on HF, so supporting fellow Freaks is worth it to me.

And he makes a great product.

I ordered the k2heli balancer last night, it looks great. I have the Spektrum one now and don't care for how it seems to add a big nose to the radio.

I really like the Racetronics adapter (http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=heli&Product_Code=RTF-080211&Category_Code=SPMA). Seems to me less intrusive than the Spektrum one, and it still has easy access to the power switch.

That looks like basically half of the G-Force adapter I bought for my X9303. If you took another one of those and attached them together into a rectangular "loop" you'd have the G-Force model! ;)

I have the Spektrum, G-Force, and the one that this thread is about. The one this thread is about is the best in my opinion. Non intrusive, low profile, and looks factory!

All the other ones are clunky....

My concern was possibly scratching the finish on the Tx when attaching the neckstrap with that flat style JR balancer (though I will admit it looks the most "factory" of the ones I've seen)! That's another reason I went with the G-Force as it has the loop sticking up so I can attach without fear of scratching the Tx with the metal snaplink.

Hmmm I haven`t taken my original factory applied screen protector off yet - I forgot.

Easy - RC Screen Protectors.I already have one of those on my Tx! The area of the radio that could easily get scratched up is around and just below the switch. The screen protector doesn't cover that part!

I'm using a PureTech neck strap with no problems at all. Still loving this balancer

BTW - The PureTech neck strap is the most comfortable neck strap I have ever used! AWESOME design with the cushion built into it.

I`m using a JR neck strap with out any problems with contact at all.

Close but not that close.....

Mine is a JR also. I was just thinking it may be easy to scratch or scuff the radio right below the switch, which as is evident in your photo is very close to the metal snapswivel. Once attached it won't touch, but the action of attaching and unattaching is where I figured I'd do the damage. With the G-Force that I ordered the attachment loop sticks up from the front of the radio so I'm much less likely to scuff the radio while attaching my strap.

I also tried the Spektrum unit but hated the way it stuck up off the radio. Heck, it sticks out even farther than the sticks do, and my case lid didn't want to close without forcing it! It also rattled around on the radio's neckstrap loop, and that alone was enough for me to take it back to the LHS!

At least there are plenty of options for everyone to choose from. With all of the different styles available there should be at least one to suit anyone's desires!

Now the big question in my mind is... When are manufacturers going to redesign these 2.4GHz transmitters so that they balance from their own neckstrap loops? ;)
