So my new gasser has two battery packs, an RX pack and an SX pack.

What's the SX pack?

SX pack? Don't know, mine only use 1 pack for RX.

I did a little research.

The heli has an I4C isolator which, as I understand it, essentially removes the RX from the power supply chain for the servos. You have one battery for the RX, but it's just powering the receiver and can be quite small. You have a second (or third in some cases for redundancy) battery for powering the servos and this one will probably be much larger (mah). The isolator routes the appropriate power to both sides, passes the RX signal to the servo, and prevents feedback from the servo from reaching the RX. It seems to be a large/giant scale thing, to address long servo leads, high servo power requirements, etc.

I'm guessing that my "SX pack" refers to the servo battery. The description provided by the seller was an 800 RX pack and a 2400 SX pack

Ah, ok. That makes sense.

Now an idea for Chris! Once I got done with my build, it sure would have been nice to crack one open as a personal reward. And what better than to have it included in the kit. :):)
