We got a real shock (pun intended) when purchasing the recommended Duralite battery package for our Intrepid Turbine. The price was over $400; more than we've paid for some of our helis. However, this is a first-class package, especially tailored for this bird. Its complete with charger, load tester and switch harness. The two battery packs are pre-wired and ready to nest into the bird with a minimum of fuss. Especially important is the heavy duty pre-wiring for the battery pack powering the starter/fuel pump/solenoid valves. We would not relesh the task of having to solder to the surface of the Li-ion battery. :bomb:

Why complain about a price when you buy a 6000 dollar turbine? I'd get the best of the best once I buy something like that.

The last thing you want to do when buying/building/operating a turbine is to skimp on electronics or batteries. I didn't pay $400 for my Duralite setup, but I didn't buy their charger or load tester either.. Still, the packs weren't cheap but neither was my helicopter...
