Awesome job. I have a red one and soon it will get the full custom paint job nothing scale though just crazy paint scheme.. Wondering if your having any troubles with your elevators? After coming out of a loop two weeks ago the elvators suffered from severe flutter..NO damage, fewer loops in the future

That's sharp looking. I like that much better than TT's color choice.

Your Ecureuil looks really very realistic.
By the way where did you buy the original body?
Prices I have seen are all over the place. As I don't see any reason to pay more for the same item..
Happy flying.

DEAR COYOTE 13,
It is a very good idea and a very realistic paint scheme. It is original and well done made. I begin the construction of mine and with your help and stuff it it realy pleasure to assemble. Here is a first shoot after place windows and system for close front of fuselage (based on plywood of 3mm).

Dear Coyote13,
How many leads did you use for balance your TT Ecureuil ? Mine is now ready for a first run and I need 300 gr of leads in front of the fuselage to have correct balance. Is it normal ?
Thanks for your answer

I would rather move the batteries rather than to add any weight. If that's not enough then larger batteries do the trick. I use 10S @ 10A (MaxAmps) and balance is good. Which batteries are you using?
Even 12S / 2P A123 works too but I don't like the weight / power ratio.
Alternatively a nice video camera, a RF link and the associated battery would do the trick :-)
Happy flying

I used twoo 3s 4000 mha x 2. I put them at the limit on the mainframe one up other . On the notice they speek about installation of the receiver battery in the front of fuselage. Not so easy if you use Electric version for changing batteries (you have to pull out the front of fusselage to change them).
Finaly the only solution is lead to have correct balance.

Let me start by saying that is awesome. A friend brought an Ecureuil down to our flying site and I immediatley had to have one. I also bought the red and white body. I have spent a lot of time adding little extras, but not as much as yours. One thing I wanted to do was modify the engine intake to look more realistic. I see you did that. Can you share how and what you did? I hope so. I have purchased nav lights but have not installed them yet. Are yours working? Any tips on how to install them on the horizontal fin?
Thanks

Coyote13,
I also see you have two of the Super Cobras. I just purchased my first mini Titan. I am waiting for the painted Super Cobra body to be available here in the US. I was thinking of the desert paint scheme (for visibility and looks). Which is your favorite paint scheme?
Thanks

- I do not use extra weight!
I use 6s 5000mah front of frame and large reciever batt under frame at very front. balance is ok.
heirmeistr - I made intake from strips of ABS sheet cut to shape.
Nav lights work and i would suggest fit wires in horizontal fin before glueing fin in fuselage.
Desert cobra is most visible in the air.

Coyote,
I am ready to install my nav lights but have never done this before. I am using 3mm lights for the horizontal fin. I was planning on drilling a hole on the edge and somehow trying to feed them inside the fin until they reach the drilled hole and then gluing them into the hole with epoxy, shoe goo, or silicone. Is this what you did? Installation tips would be greatly appreciated. A high res picture of your Ecureuil would be sweet also. I am curious about the black you painted for the sliding cargo doors, the added steps on the skids and of course your engine intake. You have done a fantqastic job!
