Does anyone know if there is anywhere in the UK where one might acquire one of these nice little gadgets for indication of decaying lipo power. Courtesy of Mika, there is a French site [?] and a Dutch one too, but postage seems extreme for a gismo costing about £5!!!!

Anyway, I think Muppetman found the best price so far... and it's a UK site.

That's what I use on all of my helicopters. I have no idea what they're on about with the NiCD/NiMH controller :bs though.

On the strength of that, Mika, I have ordered on, total £ 5.30 inc post. Nice little bit of kit, methinks. Easy to fit?

Easy enough - all you need to do is cut off a tiny piece of insulation from each of the ESC battery wires and connect the wires from this unit with a spot of solder. Heatshrink would be nice, but it kinda requires the battery connector to be removed first.

Actually i wish more stuff i could get from france.... reason being our island is divided in half dutch half french so postage from France to the french side is quite cheap.... but yeah then you have to deal with Euro so it still offsets it.

Yeah, it sounds kinda bad - but these things trigger way before the Eky 9V LVC does, and seem to leave the LiPo approximately 80% discharged. It's still early warning compared to not having one.

I have one of those too... But how do you read the voltage in flight?
Remember we're interested in voltage under load. If you land to check, your voltage will be much higher than what you really have up in the air.

I know but I stop flying at 10 volt
