Well, sorry spare parts are about the same cost. I look at it like this Johnny your REX 500 is sweet:drool:! How does it fly?...............Exactly it's not flying yet if you had bought an Esmart(which I'm not saying you should have) you would be telling us about your progress in this thread and how much fun you were having!

I love my belt, I love it's quirkyness, I learned so much about heli's by looking its 'not quite there' mechanism. The copterX and Exi clones are brilliant just as good as align
for a fraction of the cost, but they are clones. The belt has a character all of its own, it really doesn't copy much from a T450, I have upgraded mine so it flies more like a Trex but If I started from scratch it would only cost me about £90 inc. delivery
for a Belt with electrics, Trex type metal head and tail and mini titan servo trays for DTS. which is pretty good for a proper 450 heli.

Your's is no clone Mike and it has the excellent Esky Fury body which sets it apart from any of the clones:YeaBaby:

Also it Evolved teaching you so much along the way, the belt was just a seed

Have to admit Ian that the bird is so much better with the CopterX head and tail, and the Trex swash is very good. Oh, and I still use the Belt tail boom, motor and ESC!!
LOL!!!!!!!!

Yea me too bro, never had any probs., no brown outs, stays cool to touch,

I will put a scorpion combo in it soon though as the motor does tend to bog if you do try any thing with too many G's:thumbup:

Jack and DW I wasn't speaking to you directly. I was talking about people in general. I'm not saying you've wasted your money, because you have had fun and I admit it, I have done the same. It's the tweaking and adjusting etc thats what it's all about. I just don't like it when people (And this is to no one directly) slag off trex for their prices. That's not Aligns fault, it's our fault like DW said. If people want to spend hundreds on a helicopter when you could get the same for half the price then so be it. It's up to them.

This is just a debate, its not an argument and im not trying to insult people or hurt anyones feelings. Im just saying my own opinion.

TBH I can't even remember how this started and im not going to scroll through the forum looking at what started it so I can continue this because I think you will agree I would be a very sad person if I did.

Let's just settle this, I think the Esmart is an amazing helicopter and it probably is the same as the trex 600 and the price is amazing. I, personally, for some reason would still go for the Trex 600. And im going to get a trex 600 in the distant future as my next helicopter. I don't have anything against the Esmart. I would just rather the look on the trex 600 and I like the carbon fiber frame etc. Thats all.

When I used to drive rc cars. I had a 1/5th scale petrol car which is around £600 new. There was a clone, exactly the same even the same shell, seriously no difference whatsoever, for £300. You guessed what I did. I bought the real version, but it was second hand for £300 anyway lol so I was lucky that time.

Thats just the way I am, I want the best of everything. My forth helicopter will either be a avant because I think they are sexy or a trex 700.

Just to let you know, I have the batteries, and it's not flying because I still haven't setup they gyro and the esc.

Also, no, I wouldn't be telling you how good the Esmart was if I did get one because it has been raining here for days.

Just waiting to get a clear day so I can get my first hover with the 500:wow2: Hopefully tomorrow.

Well one thing i notice about big heli's they could care less about wind.. But yes you should take her up for the first time on a calm day, until you dial in the Expo you need etc.

I can tell you one thing, after you fly this size heli and right after pick up your belt or trex450 it feels like childs play.

It's a windy day but I have flown my belt in these winds so I guess the trex 500 should be fine.

Just having trouble getting the GY401 to go into HH mode with the DX6I. Also, I need to program the ESC which im not looking forward to. After that, shes going outside for a spin.

I will let you know how it goes later.
