Hi there, i just ordered a 8S model to enhance my Fleet. But to be shure about the batteries...what size has the tray. I like to use 2x4S batteries and kong powers are slightly bigger then flight powers so i want to ensure that they fit as well. A prober size-statement would be great.

I use a Flightpower EVOlite 8s 4270 and it it's a big ass brick with lots of room to move it around. The battery tray really is just a plate that hangs off the front of the heli. What KP 4s packs are you looking at?

IThank you for your reply. Is it possible that you give me the size of the battery? I look at the Kong Power 5000mah KP-5025-4 http://www.kongpower.es/productos/KP-5025-4.htm and the 3200 mah packs KP-3225-4 http://www.kongpower.es/productos/KP-3225-4.htm. I hope that they will fit.

Well here are my thought..... The the 5000mah packs are going to be VERY heavy and the 3200mah packs aren't going to give you much flight time, maybe 3:30 minutes if you take it easy. I don't see those packs as really very good options at all, one due to weight and the other due to mah capacity.
At this point in time with what's out on the market I'd recommend
Flightpower Evolite 8s 4270
Outrage 8S1P 3700mah 25C
Outrage 4S1P 3700mah 25C in series
Thunder Power TP3850-4SXV in series
Thunder Power TP4450-4SHP in series
Thunder Power TP3700-4SHP in series
Those are some ideas of what's out. I'd stick to something above 4000mah so you will get decent flight times. My first choice would be Flightpower Evolite 8s 4270 and my second would Thunder Power TP4450-4SHP in series.
