hey all, i dont charge my Tx battery through the Tx and have been using a makeshift connector that finally broke on me today. i like to treat Nimh batteries good by giving them a discharge recharge cycle. afterall, my $2000 heli is connected to it... ;)

so, where can i get a female connector like the one built in the radio??
i know im sure i can just charge in the radio, but i dont like doing things this way..
thanks for any input -phil

Any particular reason you don't charge through the TX? You can charge and discharge through it without any problems. I usually do a discharge / charge cycle every 8-10 charges. Charging at 1/4C ( 0.4 Amps) with a 5mV delta-V.

That little white connector is pretty fragile, and not designed to be removed for every charge. They used to be available here:

Scroll down to "JR/Spektrum CONNECTOR"

I use it to keep my backup pack topped-off every 2 months, not for day to day charging. It is a perfect fit.

Most folks that I've seen that like to play with TX packs put a standard servo connector between the pack and the special connector in the radio. Cut a 3" servo extension in half and use both sides.

Makes all of your packs interchangeable (even across brands of TX) and saves wear and tear on that connector on the TX circuit board.
