TREX 500 - DX7 really WEIRD issue.

Hi,

I just cannot have fun with my TREX 500. It's sounds idiot but I'm pissed.

Yesterday, at home (in my appartment); I got my AR7000 binded successfully with the DX7. I can hover; no problems with the RX.

Today, I went to the club with a friend (he was testing the TREX 700)... I just switch on the DX7... then plug in the lipoly ... as usual ... Nothing happens.... It reacts like if the DX7 was switched off...

I cannot bind also (the same procedure as I do at home) in my rc club !! This is getting me crazy.

Now I'm back home.... just tried to switch on my TREX 500 ... works fine.

I'm stuck with this AR7000. Anyone ever seen that ?

Did you change the model memory from the one you use for the 500, to something else at the field?

How many were flying at the club? (With 2.4 gHz transmitters)

But the most crazy thing is that I cannot use the TREX500 at my club...and I come home and it works fine.

There is a great DX7 thread over at RCGroups which has run through about every issue possible with Spektrum. The one issue that may be affecting you is there are cases where the transmitter is either too close or to far to bind or connect with the receiver, for most people that had an issue the transmitter was to close to the receiver, so try plugging in the battery with the transmitter 2-3 feet away and see if it works.

This happened to me on the bench the other day with a DX7 and a 6100E. I could not reproduce the problem the radio was on and whenever I switched on the 6100E (running an external battery) it would power on the servos and gyro but not link with the DX7.

I rebinded with all the new hardware I had installed and the problem went away.

It only happen in my club. At home I can power the heli with the DX7 in front of the rx...
