No stripped gears yet. However, I have experienced another issue that others with SD or potential owners of SD should be made aware. I kept having an issue with the tail that I assumed was gyro related. When applying right rudder the heli would turn about 90 degrees and then stop with a noticeable bogging of the motor, all the while I am holding full right rudder, heli is in idle up at 4100 headspeed. After exhaustive and totally unnecessary tinkering and tweeking of the gyro, I discovered the gear on the tail shaft was turning on the shaft. I could actually hold the tale rotor and turn the rest of the rotating assembly from the main gear. I disassembled the tail box and the gear came right off with very little effort. It is apparently a pressed fit with some machined grooves on the shaft and no other means of securing, (ie. pins, adhesive, threads). I applied some CA, re-assembled and everything is fine now. The other gears are ok. So save yourself some tears :bawland check your gears!:Bang
