Installed 3- hs65's and a 9650 for the tail with stock gyro and have went thru and read all the different posts prior to (which convinced me to do the swap:roll:) and after the change out, but found nothing definitive on which settings should or should not be changed.
One post states you must swap the swash settings (i.e -75 to +75) along with reversing the servos, yet another posts states you just reverse the servos on the cyclic.
Any and all info in reguards to clear cut settings would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

reversing the servos means that you don't have to reverse the swash. Mind you, one of the aileron servos would have originally been reversed, so it would be "un-reversed". :-)

I upgraded to 65s after my last crash, and watching the finless video for the trex450 helped me make sure everything was going in the correct direction.

Haven't changed out rudder yet but when I put HS65MG's on I had to go into swash mix and change Aile. from a negative value to a positive. Elev. stayed negative, Pitch stayed positive. What are your reverse setting on for these three?

Not true, the swash setting reverse 2 or 3 servos at a time because it controls functions, the reverse menu only reverses 1 servo because it controls servos. To get things to work you may have to reverse several things.

But I stated to reverse 2 of the three servos. Not 1. That way, you keep all of your swash mixes positive.
Yes, the swash settings control functions, but those functions occur before the radio applies reversing. So say your swash mix is ail=+60, ele=+60 and pit=+60. When you give collective, the 'function' will apply a positive mix for all three servos to give positive pitch. Setting each channel's reverse correctly will cause the servos to move in the right direction. If you give role to the right, the 'function' will tell the right servo to move in the opposite direction of the left servo. The correct reversing will keep this in check. Same as giving elevator input. the 'function' will cause the front servo to move in the opposite direction of the back 2 servos.
So, looking at the b400, when you apply collective, the front and driver side servos need to rotate counter clockwise, and the passenger side servo, which is flipped, needs to rotate clockwise, all for the swash to drop. That means you need to reverse 2 of the three servos when you move to 65's and make all swash mixes positive.
I've moved to a jr 9303 so for my settings:
Swash:
ail: 70%
ele: 70%
Pit: 65%
The only reversed channels are 2, 3, and rudder (I'm using a 3154 on the rudder).
On the b400,

Carlo, I agree that other settings may have to be reset from the default settings. I didn't want to confuse the problem with to much info as I get turned around myself. With the above settings that I use in Swash mix, in the Reverse menu, Elev. is set to R. , Aile.:R, Pitch:N. This worked for me, but I have been called bass ackwards. I respect your knowledge as I have read several of your posts. Thanks for any insight you can give as I am in the process of upgrading my 400.

Thanks for the different inputs. I went ahead a just reset the radio to defualt and started fresh.
Everything is set great, but still can't get the tail to hold. Tail wants to drift a little right then slowly to the left ...stock gyro is set to digital with the 9650 servo
Can't go above 68.5 in the gyro settings..for it will start twitching and anything under 60. it takes a lot of right trim to counter the pull to the left.
Gain pot on the gyro it self is set dead center.

with stock gyro seem that these highspeed servos are to much for it
also watch that you dont over trow the slider since the gyro has no limiting
place ball as close to the center of horn to help
set gyro/tail up in rate mode (*less then 50 gain) center horn and slider
no subtrim then switch to HH and trim it out
thats the method i used with stock gyro thier many diffrent ways but the one that works i guess is the best way.

Thanks will try it. Went outside today with foam on the gyro, temp was 66 slight breeze and the tail just needed one click and it held pretty good, but will still try your method.
Thanks again everyone....
