Hi everyone,

Aldo from Critter racing reported an issue with his mainshaft bottom setscrew thread not being threaded deep enough.

Please check your to make sure it's locking the pin in place correctly.
Hopefully it's a single case because those are from the same btach to the ones that our pilots are flying but it's better to make sure.

Thanks Aldo for letting us know.

Regards,

Augusto.

Mine was OK.... I could tell because the pin moved easily and when the set screw was tightened it was solid... A point.... for serviceability do not get paranoid about this as if you over tighten this you might bend the pin and make it hard to remove for servicing the main gear and shaft...

Tip is... if the set screw feels tight try to move the pin... if you can't then your good... Don't WHALE on the set screw! The purpose of the set screw is to keep the pin from coming out... Nothing more!

I would think it's very possible that you could have a burr in the threads, or some kind of debris left over from the machine process.

Thats all it takes to stop a screw.
