I have just recieved a new Thunder Power 6000 Pro Lite Series Battery. It has a 4 wire connector attached under the main power leads with Black, White, Blue and Orange wires. My last TP 6000 High Energy Density Series battery came with a JST connector attached that said to use for re-charging. Am I supposed to charge through this 4 wire connector or use the main supply wires for charging? How would I connect the wiring to my Chargers Red and Black Deans connector? I am using an Astro Flight 109 Lipo Charger.

:? :?: :( Tom

Tom...the 4 wire connector is for use with TP's TP-205 Li-Poly-Smart Auto-Balancer (up to 5S) or the TP-210 balancer (up to 10S). I just picked up my TP-205 today for use with my 3S 2000mAh packs I use with my T-Rex.

Seems like a good thing...will auto-balance the cells to within +/- 0.005V...easy to use...just plug it into the 4pin connector on the battery...

you still charge the pack through the heavy gauge black/red leads...if you decide not to use the auto-balancer just don't worry about the 4pin connector!

Thanks for the quick response. The info says to make the first few flights only about 6 minutes long for a break in period, could I cycle the batteries a few times instead or would I be best to fly.

I am pretty new to this electric stuff also...I was told the same thing about flying about 5 or 6 minutes of gentle flight...nothing aggressive...for 8 or 10 cycles...probably could cycle them but geez...why waste 6 minutes of flying...even if it is just hovering and mild fwd flight/ aerobatics? I would rather fly the break in cycles than just watch my Shultz charger have all the fun! :D

I am sure some of the guys more heavy into electrics can add more (and better) info as they see this post!

I am still just hovering mostly, but do attempt some foreward flight it the winds are calm. That is good reasoning though and I think I will go the Fly route as the charge time will be short anyway.
:D :noteworthy
