View Full Version : PROBLEM WITH AURORA BUILD !!!!!!

In step 3 of the build after bell lining, while installing the E clip and washer , I notice that the bearing in the bell does not match the diameter of the shaft !!! The bearing is 8mm ID and the shaft is 5mm. Does anyone have the same problem or am I doing something wrong ??
Its built that way on purpose. That shaft is a start shaft. It is not what drives the pinion.
The reason it is smaller, is so it spins freely INSIDE the pinion. You're fine.

Thanx Dood, I was just a little worried . so i needed to ask someone. thank you.My only question is whats the point of that bearing in the bell if it doesn't touch of support any part of the shaft ??? I mean it can't be there for looks and on all my other ships that bearing in the bell supports the shaft !
The lower bearing supports the pinion, the upper bearing supports the starting shaft.
