I just installed a Hatori SAB-50-3D Bobby Watts Special on my 600N but I noticed that the placement of the pressure nipple appears to make it impossible to run the pressure tubing from the pipe to the grommet in the frame without the tubing rubbing against the edge of the canopy. I'm afraid that the canopy edge will rub clean through the tubing in flight. I put some shoe goo along the edge of the canopy to soften the edge, but I don't know if it will be enough.

What do others with this pipe do to remedy the rubbing? I was thinking about a piece of split tubing along the edge of the canopy, but I'm not sure what to adhere it with (in my experience, shoe goo won't stick to silicone tubing). Would CA work?

i had the same pipe , it won't rub thru in one flight.. over time it will cause a little wear but i just kept an eye on it and changed the line every 2 months or so... not a problem... the side of the canopy isn't that sharp...

Thanks. It's not always obvious what will cause premature damage and what won't. I won't sweat it then.

erniefritz +1. I just keep an eye on it so far 3 month (about 1Gal. a week) and nothing, had to cut the tubing at the nipple but other than that, nothing.
