Wesley started building #2 yesterday, it'll go in the air at Chatti this weekend. We'll be with David this weekend...hope to get some video!

Our second Phazor will be with the 1907 on 6S for now, changing to 8S in a couple of months. Setup will be about the same as the first one, with a bit less HS.

What flight times are you getting with these setups?

Thanks,
Jason

Wesley is flying 2200 HS for 4 minutes, we're going to be trying a lot of different set ups over the next couple of months....more information will follow. When the second heli is done we'll be able to try some different things and stretch out the flight times.

have 6 flights on my phazor with the 1910 1 y motor on 10s.just regeared it tonight ,i was getting 2550 headspeed on what calculated out at 2300,interesting.anyways the power is awesome.the tail is still locked in useing the 105 tail blade.
my buddy i fly with all the time says it's the fastest heli he's seen.
i thought it was in the neighborhood ,but when you're the one flying it ,you kinda get used to the power and it's hard to judge, thats why i like to get a second opinion.
hopefully my 12s batts will br here soon so i can try 12s with the 1910.

My son is one of the pilots! Pull up the Gohbee site and his picture comes up! :YeaBaby:

The most popular setup so far has been the 8S setup with the Neu 1907 motor. Most folks are choosing the 4270 evolite's for the gain in flight time. (Depending on the pilot....typically the 4270mah give you between 30sec to 1min more flight time than the Evo 25's 3700mah.) This setup is the extreme power setup that will satisfy your desire to go fast.

We have other pilots who are willing to sacrifice power for more flight time. To date the Kontronics Tango 45-08 motor shines the brightest. However, we are still looking for a motor combination that may be a compromise between the two. We're also still looking for a less expensive motor than the Kontronics for the sport pilot. I welcome suggestions from guys out there who have a favorite motor that might be a good candidate.
I don't think it will be problem to gear for it! http://www.helifreak.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

David, we finally have the 6S Phazor in the air, pulling 2100 watts peak so far. We have it set for 2000 head speed, should know more on the flight times tomorrow. It's flying very smooth on this set up.

david have you tryed the century 650a motor on 12s with 2 2500 packs in series?

I have run that motor with 3200 packs on 12s with exelent results in power and run times.six minutes.with the 2500 packs witch i have on order you should still get 5 minutes and take 8oz off the heli and it should be the same weight as the 1907 on 8s with the 4270 pack, but with a lot more power but simular run times, and the motor sells for $124.99. i have 2 myself one in a swift 620 on 12s and the one in the phazor.
my current setup (while i'm waiting for the 2500 batteries is a 1910 on 10s)
It's extremley powerfull but very amp hungery,even after gearing it down to 2300 from 2600 i'm still only getting 3min 45 sec flights on a 3200 10s pack,verses the 650a's 6 min on 12s 3200's.
so my thinking is the 650a is the magic comprimise for power to flight time.

I think i'm going to order a 1907 in 2 y version and try it on 12s,that should be simular to the 650a's comprimise of power and econimy.and it'll be 4oz lighter.and the motor is only $150.00 verses the $190.00 of the 1910 motor.

3 more flights on the amp hungry 1910 on 10s today. it's a very powerfull motor but the amp draw is way out of line for the power it puts out.

So i just swpped the century 650a motor back in.on 12s the performance is simular and the run times are almost double.tommorrow will tell me for sure.

What's strange to me is how well the 1910 seems to work on 8S. I think it's great that all this info is being shared....we can all benefit from it!

maybye i'll try it on 8s.
what are your run times and what batteries.

2 flights today with the 650a century motor back in it and the run times are 5 minutes plus with about the same performance.albeit on 12s instead of 10s.

the century 650 motor is the one for me.power and effeciancy.

It's flying very smooth on this set up.This is the 6S 4900mah FP pack right? So how were the flight times? Do you think this would work well for a mainly sport flyer? I like trying to do 3D, but it's pretty pathetic. :rolling

Thanks,
Jason

6s would work great for a sport flyer, we're running about 2050 headspeed, and we're getting 4 minutes of pretty hard 3D. If you want to practice a lot I would get an 8s setup, govern it to around 2100 headspeed and you would probably get about 5 minutes of sport/3D mix. If you run a 1907 in your Phazor, it takes about 5 minutes max to change it from 6 to 8s because they both use the same secondary gear. Either way you go, I think you'll like it. I know I do.:):)
