When you set up the arm for the throttle servo the throttle stick must be at zero( also the throttle curves should have a zero for a position one) and the trim (the little toggle switch near the throttle stick ) should be at the center. Not up or down. These should be set there and the carb should be at this condition at idle (small gap not closed) the trim will be used to kill the engine.
Once you get the settings correct and arm attatched then move the trim to low and see if the carb closes all the way. This will be good then.
