servo conection to 401 black=brown
blue and yellow on top in to RX

check that you are at low stick and motor leads are pluged in

check starting position on the controler
normal mode + TH hold off

If you aren't getting the startup beeps, could be a couple of things, first off is the motor connected? the motor is what actually makes the sounds the esc has no such capability. second, is the battery charged? 3rd is the esc properly connected to the receiver? you can check the servo to see if it actually works by disconnecting the gyro from the rudder channel and connecting the servo in its place, the servo should move with the ruder stick. If it does move then I would suspect a bad gyro, if it does not move then a bad servo.
