Hey guys. Is anybody having a problem with the top of the main gear rubbing the frame toward the rear of the heli? I've installed the gears and bearing blocks per the manual AND Bob's video and the gear set is not sitting parallel to the slot in the frame. The top of the main gear has about 1mm of clearance in the front and zero clearance toward the rear. When I spin the gear there is a slight wobble and the high spot rubs the frame pretty good... you can hear it scrape as the high spot passes. I made sure to tighten all the gear bolts in a star pattern to avoid warping the gear.
I've tried loosening up all the bearing block bolts to reposition the gears but there is really no wiggle room that I can tell. The bolt holes in the frame are exact and don't allow for any adjustment. I've already posted this question on the AvantRC forum but thought I'd ask here too.
Thanks,
John
Solution: bottom bearing block was on backwards. While bolting on the top bearing blocks, the bottom one fell off (just like in Bob's video!!!) and I just put it back on without checking the orientation to make sure the notch was toward the back...IT DEFINITELY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!! Thanks Augusto!
