This little heli is a champ. I picked mine up a few months ago when I was on a "I need a heli" fix -- and the only way to satiate that feeling is to buy one. After a bad experience with a CP-PRO I somehow thought I'd try the CX...
WOW what a different experience. The CX is the most fun I've had! I love building it. I love modding it. I love flying it. I love tearing it apart to rebuild it "just right" when there was nothing wrong with it. I love I can smash it into the wall, and only need to spend $3.99 in parts to fix it.
It's not as pretty as my trex 450seV2, or as impressive as my trex 600.... but damn, it's fun.
I put the carbon boom on (faster piro rate, no other major positive/negative change), blinged out a few parts that broke which cost more and slow down the controls - but look great, and lit it up with a full on LED light show. (If anyone cares I'll post pics).
Anyways, I can say this heli has really made me happy. The smallest, cheapest, simplest one... that you can actually fly around friends and family inside all the time. We have really tall ceilings which help.
Next thing I'm going to do is build a custom canopy for it. Something a bit wild, with the video camera mount built right in. My rubber-band rig isn't the best - but it works well to help as delivery vehicle in my 6 year old's construction play sets. The 'rescue chopper' serves duty.
