During an overnight stay at the Fairfield Inn on Arkright road in Macon, Ga my Trex 600N and JR 9303 radio were stolen out of the back seat of my truck in the parking lot. My truck was locked and the theives used a flathead screwdriver to twist the lock cylinder in my drivers side door to gain entry.
The 600N had a red boom, yellow skids, JR 8717 cyclic servos, a JR7703D gyro and 8900G on the tail, a fromeco 2600mah flight pack with a blue fromeco regulator, an AR7000 receiver with green and blue heat shrink on the antennas, a throttle jockey rev max governer, align 600D main blades with align white tail blades, an OS 50 Hyper with Align pipe, and the Align red canopy with yellow lightning bolt scheme. The heli was the pro version with a torque tube but was equipped with the silver fiberglass frames. The JR9303 had been converted to 2.4 with a spektrum module system and was in a transmitter case with a hobbico voltmeter, a sunglass case, and several charge leads. The transmitter case had a large JR sticker on it along with flightpower, coolpower, readyheli, and helifreak stickers.
If you spot this heli or hear of a similar one for sale in the Georgia area, please PM me or call my cell at 678-447-7992. A police report has been filed
Thanks,
Joe Scott

Joe,
I would contact a law officer and take him with you. Your going to need to identify the heli other than saying it is yours.
I worked in a hobby shop and we had a few cases where RC equipement was stolen in the area. And then the people would come into the hobby shop wanting to know if we would buy it. Most of the time we would know the stuff and that it was stolen. We would tell them to come back at a certain time and bring the equipment. That the person that buys the equipment would be there then and give the best price. The person that would be buying the equipment would be our local police officer. He would arrest them on the spot and take them to jail. The original owner of the equipment would be there also to identify it.
Just a suggestion. Contact the local police at the location your going and take them with you to meet the guy.

I met with the seller today in the presence of a police officer who is a friend of a friend. Also had another good friend along just in case. The seller was quite surprised but handed over my heli peacefully and respectfully. I truely believe the seller was not the original thief but I'm sure he knew it was stolen. The only reason the seller agreed to meet me was because I promised him I'd pay him $500 for the heli, but of course he didnt see a dime of it. The look on the sellers face when the officer introduced himself was priceless .
Bottom line, I was extremely lucky that things went so well, the odds of finding stolen property on Ebay and actually retrieving it must be astronomical. Everything that was stolen was returned in perfect condition, not a scratch. Thanks to all the freaks for the support, and be careful, because your heli could be Gone in 60 Seconds!

I'm glad you got it back. Thieves are lowlife scum. I only wish that you had pressed charges against the dirtbag. Let him contemplate the life he's chosen while being sodomized by the rest of the lowlife scum in our nation's jails.

Glad to see you got your heli back, a little disappointed they didn't take him to jail for possession of stolen goods. Maybe they could have gotten the culprit and that would have been Grand Theft, over $1000

Progressive paid for the damage to the door handle on my truck.
Yeah, seriously, why did they not arrest him?
The police officer that accompanied me was a friend of a friend and was only there to insure that I retrieved what belonged to me. He was not involved in the case/investigation.:cheers
