Love to see it fly.
I hope it won't be to heavy.

I was worried about this as well, which is why the HBK2 will be powered by a 4s battery on a scorpion motor/ESC combo running a 15 tooth pinion with 500mm blades

Can't wait to see that one fly... I love scale projects, and the OH-58D is a real beauty. You'll have to fly without the MMS, though - no reasonable way to keep it from spinning with the rotor hub.

If you're running into trouble with the weight, check out the Darth styrene kit:
http://darthdrk.4t.com/photo3.html

Very light, looks great, and you could use the weapons off the BBI kit. It's actually built using the BBI as template: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=425093

Mika,

I've been trying to figure out the MMS as well. I don't know why he shows it in the pics at get people's hopes up that it is flyable with it.

So here's what I'm wondering...get a bearing the exact diameter of the inside of the base. Change out the honeybee king v2 head with a belt cp stock plastic head (it has that 'button' on the top of it) CA only the inner race to the top to the plastic head...and CA the outer race to the inside of the mms support. I know...I know...it would have to be DEAD CENTER...and I know there would still be SOME rotation due to friction inside the bearing...just wondering if it's possible.

Made my mind up. My next heli will be the EXI 450MA.

So here's what I'm wondering...
Rob Schaffer did something similar with his - while it spins (and I think your bearing would pick up the spin quite quickly too) at least you can fly with the mast installed.

I also made up my mind... My next one's going to be a Honeybee FP! :D

Well if your really good or have someone that can do it for you, drill a pilot hole straight down the center of the shaft and thru the button head, use rod straight thru to hold the entire mast on and it wount rotate, and could be controlable right left with servo at the bottom where the rod comes out......

Nothing a Good Lath and operator cant accomplish with the right sized bit.

Only other way is to make a base that can house 3 gears to transfer the opposite amount turn to the MMS

If it wasn't for all those things in the way, it would have been a good idea:)

Smirk:YeaBaby:

Thinking about getting the metal headed Mini Titan E325 next would like A bigger heli but
not sure I could afford to run one at the moment

The Mini Titan is a little bit different and looks brilliantly designed and has stunning reviews.

I have said it before, but with all i have spent on spares upgraded parts etc, i should have gone ahead and just bought a Trex in the first place!!!!!!!

Hmmm musta been some good wacky tobacci.. LOL totally forgot about all that stuff...

Well the gear method would work and even allow it to spin very slowly making it that much more realistic..

I'll try draw something up in cad see how it would all come together.

Yeah :YeaBaby: but that is still about the best value to us at the moment couldn't quite work out weather he will combine shipping or not though, from the advert!

If someones going on holiday there they could save their airfare by bringing a few gifts back:)
