Liability & Property damage Insurance

Can anyone tell me where a guy can obtain insurance in case my heli decides to take a dive and either hurt someone, wreck property or God forbid both?

I know people have coverage, but I need to find out what's out there.

AMA is for hobby only, If you are doing AP work on a Commercial Basis at all then you better find something else as AMA will not cover you.

You can get a general liability insurance policy fairly easily. Contact your local insurance agent(s) tell 'em what you need it for and see what they offer. I had a $2M policy when I ran my company. Cost me about $120/month.

I had asked a couple of auto insurance agents (and home) about coverage and they said something like they would have to search for a carrier?

I suppose the terms or exact description of what type of coverage is needed.
Not too many people have ever heard of insurance for RC work.

If anyone has names or contact info for an insurance company, that would be great.

Auto and home wouldn't be the people to talk to.. I found mine via the yellow pages. I looked up Insurance - Liability and found a nearby agent. Sat down with him, told him what my biz was and he made a few calls. Next day he said he found an underwriter and I could come in and fill out the paperwork. 3 hours of my time and a check and I was covered.

A general liability policy could cover you if you're making balloon animals - I don't think the specifics would matter to much to the underwriter if you show them you have a safety plan and procedures in place.
