I keep getting glitches on my raptor 60 only when engine is running and main rotor is spinning.

After the change of bearings it was much better, but still not flyable so i tried switching all servos great improvement but stil some occasional glitches it would be risky to fly.

Ok, lets sum it up.

1. New bearings all around including engine

2. New servos all around. HItec 5955TG

3. New switch JR HD

4. New receiver Multiplex IPD 9ch

5. Tried another transmitter.

6. Moved entenna to bottom of skid plate.

7. Twisted all wires (tail boom mounted rudder servo)

8. New main shaft and swashplate.

9. Checked for the boom screw issue (no problem there)

10. All screws checked for titeness (ok)

11. New 6V 2000Mah Nimh Battery

12. New gyro (now completely disconnected)(no help)

13. New McDaniel remote glow replaced OS engine version

The set-up is as fallows, carbon blades, rear rudder servo with extension running along the tail boom support (the wire is twisted), the clutch is aligned ok.

One of my theory is that i may be drawing too much current from the battery with those five digital servos and that is what may be causing my glitches (intermittant, at a bit lower then hovering pitch).

The other one is to try another engine!

Can anyone guide me in the right direction. :arggg:

just a couple of things, are you using a PCM receiver? did you try another receiver ?

I am using digitals all over, with no problems.. so its worth experimenting with receivers and also the cabling between battery and switch..

Well, tried 4.8V battery but too late on the MPX receiver. However a changed to an old Hitec that i remembered to bring along, and voila no more glitches on 4.8V. So i tried the 6.0V battery and no more glitches either.

I dont know if the MPX RX are to be used only on 4.8V or not but my problem is finally solved.

I was really getting tired of chasing my tail with this one.

Next time i will start with bearing check.

So, now, when you will flip this "beast" inverted????

See you at field!!!!

I sure will try to get some air time before winter, as i dont want the young guns from my club to take the lead. :badair:
I would not like for them to tell me, hey i did this or hey i did that, while my heli is grounded. :arggg:

Sure will do some acro flight, but needs a bit of trimming first.

So MPlourde and the others watch out. :tongue
