I've bought a Trex 450 S kit and a DX6i. It was a moment of madness! I only went in to get some servo extension cables!

Thats not madness, that is insanity.
It will reqire a licensed cameraman ( like Testpilot ) who will record every move you make with that abomination, then I forgive your stray from our beloved belt. :)

My browser just seems to hang trying to open the Freak site. All other sites seem fine. I've tried various browsers on different machines including a Linux based box and a Mac. All have the same prroblem. Strange.
If I leave it an hour or so it seems fine again.

Alastair,
Congrats on laying out the dosh for a DX6i and a TREX. You will love them both. The amount of money I have spent trying to make my Belt like a Trex, I should just have bought the Trex in the first place!! As it is, my Belt is dead - well, needs a new frame and so complete rebuild - and the next time I go to the USA, I will collect either the EXI or the EXI MA.
But that is the nature of the hobby!!!!!!!
As they say, keep it up!!!!!!
Cheers,
Mike

Mike just seen some mini Titan servo mounts in the flesh ( a chap at Grants Robochallenge event had one) they look really good, Its probably worth getting a couple instead of making some,
In fact the whole basic Mini Titan looks a much better plastic fantastic than the Belt

Mike I know exactly what you mean about spending money on the belt! I was initially going to get the EXI frame to upgrade my Belt, but then I made the mistake of going into a model shop to get some small "bits and bobs"! Mrs Muppetman isn't very impressed, but Mr V.Isa is very happy. Oh well, you win some, you loose some.
I am very impressed with the DX6i so far, but I may well need some assistance with some of the settings. The manual isn't very clear on what all of the settings do.
Can't wait to get the Trex flying (only about 4 hours of Finless Bob vidoes left to watch!)

Got most of my DX6i settings from Ian, and I have since tweaked the throttle and pitch curves for my liking. It is a nice Tx.

I got some basic settings on my Tx (thanks Finless!) but haven't got the Trex quite finnished yet - I'm still tweaking the control rods. It would be so much easier with turnbuckle type rods.
I think that monsoon has now hit Oxfordshire too! I've actually just got a fire going!
