Just curious if anyone has one yet, and what impressions they might have. I've heard some issues with some motors, and one person having to send theirs back for a firmware upgrade, but nothing that concrete.

Anyone?

John,
I have been running several CC 85HVs for 6 months, zero problems with Neu motors and Vbar. It is amazing how cool they run with these high KV motors.

The Shulze 30-80K is rock solid with the Orbit HE.

Gonna take another stab at running the Actro and Orbit on the Power Jazz soon.

PJs and Jazz don't like high KV motors, but run well with low KV motors.

Now that Temps are approaching 100F the Jazz controllers will thermal and overspeed with the change in temperature. Rember they don't read RPM but voltage, and temp really changes Jazzies RPM setting.

Hope this is all fixed in the Jives.

No, it is not sorted out yet! There are lots of pilots in europe with Jive problems (including me) and sometimes the firmware urgade helps, sometimes not! Crazy enough, there are some guys with Tango (Kontronik) Motors and they have the same problems like people with other motors like Z-Power, etc....

I would not recommend a Jive at the time being until they have sorted out their problems! But fair to say: The Kontronik support was excellent, the upgrade was fast and (for me) efficient... But it was 1 week without flying...

And I'm betting turnaround from the US would be a bit longer than a week...

THANKS!

It is from helistore.at, the two Mikado guys from Austria (Tom and Max Kreuzberger) You can order them online by writing an email to Tom - or contact the User 'Voodoo' by PM

Hope it helps,

I have the LV Jive and it's not working with a Tango motor.

Seems OK on 4s but 5s and 6s cause it to have random errors and not initialize.

I'm surprised that they would release such a piece of junk :-(

What sw version do you have? if it is 3i1 then it is definetely the first series, 3i2 is much better! (You find the version written on the little Kontronik sticker)

But I have heard from people with problems even with the new firmware...

Bad...

Can't check the ver as I sent it back to the distributor.

Not having much luck getting answers here in Canada.

I have been waiting for the Jive so I could upgrade my Jazz controllers. Maybe the 'old' stuff is better.

Were did you get the Schulze 30-80K? Isn't it a future 32.80K???
