Does anyone know what the control rod length should be? The ones that go from the swash to the see saw arms? I have been messing around with mine after crashing and don’t know what they should be?
Thanks

Mine measure 27.6 mm from the centre of the balls.

You might have to cut some of the links. Some of them are to long to fit.

Page 8 is replacement parts, and it doesn't really give you actual lengths for the linkages anywhere.

What are the lengths of the three servo to swash linkages? My Gaui was running all over the place and trim wasn't helping so I'm trying to relevel the swash. Thanks.

Page 3 in My book.
I believe 31mm is what's stated.

I leveled my servo arms, then used the swash travel dimensions listed on page 6 of the voluminous "manual" (snicker, snicker).
Ended up with 8mm spacing between servo output center and ball-link center on every servo arm, including the tail servo.
As a lot of people have posted, I had to cut about 2-3mm off the pitch servo linkage (front left) to make things work out correctly.
After that, I just leveled the swash using a flybar across it's flat area along with the Mark IV eyeball computer.
Next, I shamelessly looted the site for DX6i setup info, and I was set.
I was really happy with the way this worked out. I hardly needed any adjustment after that.

I must have done something right; as I, too, had to cut the Pitch rod.

Anyone else not have to cut the pitch rod?

Hey guys,
When quoting page numbers, remember that the paper manual and the PDF from GAUI do not agree.
I suggest that you get both, here's the PDF attached....

Heli Cuzz,
Yeah, I had to cut mine about 2-3mm. As you may have got the newer version heli, did you need to do the same???
FWIW, I used a Dremel cutoff wheel, and sanded the end with 400 grit sandpaper, so as not to bung up the end of it and chew rather than cut new threads. Don't use a wire cutter on this one, guys...

if you can find a nut small enough to fit on the rods, thread it on, cut, and unthread.

Hey guys a few of my buddys (including Kyle Stacy) suggested strongly to adjust the links until the bottom of the swash is 7mm above the frame at neutral, which the manual says, however, at least for me the lengths were not correct that they gave in the book. I posted my lengths which I am using for 3d on my other thread.

By the way I did have to cut the rod from the pitch servo.
If thing keeps flying like this even with a fairly heavy setup I will be more than pleased.

Well, she flys pretty good.
What's your setup?
I run Dymonds on cyclic, Logictech 2100 and servo, with 3s 850's.
She weighs 203grams without the battery, but big tail parts, and the fiberglass canopy. I'll bet I could break 190 by changing out parts and shortening the servo leads.....
Flys pretty good up to my last hardware problem.
I take it you fly 3d in other venues? Hang out, contribute. This is a cool little ship, worth it....

Yea I fly 3D, I am a team pilot for minicopter and CYE.
My setup is hs-45's, 401 with 3154, a 146ip rx without case, stock pack, and just switched to the plastic canopy. I have not weighed it yet, but I know the 401 is weighty, as is the rx.
