how do you like it compared to the stock 90 degree swash? worth the money? i have a DX7, so i was looking at the cyclock. i'm going to start out with the stock set up. could my money be spent better elsewhere? any opinions, good or bad will be greatly appreciated

I have only flown the stock setup 90 deg, I do not have an issue with it. But to upgrade its only $50 I do not know whether you will see an improvement if using good servos.
If you use cheap servos i am sure it would be an improvement. I think the cyclock would see the most improvement

I guess I'd just get another battery! I see, nor feel any problems with the 90 degree set up. I wondered but I'm impressed now that I've flown it. I know most of my 120 degree set ups in the past have had issues. I needed to make corrections with swash trim feature of my 14MZ. Not so with my E550.

I found changing from the stock 90 swash to the 140 swash well worth the effort, cyclic control is smoother and more precise, with the 90 swash elevator seemed to be 'sticky' with centering poor, this was completely gone with the 140 setup.

i think i'll just stick with the stock set up for now. i'll give it it's day in court. when i'm good enough to tell the difference, i'll know. thanks guys.

Your centering will only be poor if you use poor servos

I used to run the stock 90 deg swash on my E550 and had absolutely no problem with it, using DX7 and the standard DX7 (821?) digital servos.
I fitted the cyclock and 140 deg swash only because I like to fiddle with electronics and stuff!! This works just as well or maybe a little bit better than the stock setup, but my flying doesn't really warrant this, for me it was only to fiddle and play with it.!!!!!!!
The stock E550 setup and fairly decent digital servos works perfect. The option to use 140 deg is a nice to have, but not neccessary if your are just starting out.
Enjoy, this is really an awesome heli with serious presence in the air, even the noise is intimidating!!:clappp:clappp:clappp

Its almost the same except the balls extend out. Do a search and you should be able to find a pic.
There 90/120/140 swash

True, I'm using DS821's in mine. With the 90 swash elevator is controlled by a single servo, aileron by two so an 'average' servo will struggle, with 140 swash all servos share aileron/elevator control which makes it more precise, just my experiences and opinion.

Easy work for my 9252's. I got three more flights in this morning and paid particular attention. I really feel no difference doing aliron flips or elevator flips , back or foward. But I did love the fun of testing. I am very happy with my new cheap 6s 5000 packs from TruRc. After pretty hard 6 min. flights they are nice and cool and take back 3500 mha's just like the big $ packs. I hope they last. BTW they weigh 100 grams less than the special Raptor style big $ guys. THATS good info right there. i have two 4000 mAh packs from true rc. they are stick packs. 10C though. i'm trying them first before i drop the cash for the big boy batteries.
