what are you guys using for the glow plug. Remotes or cutting the canopy out to make room to get your hand in there.

Was thinking of a remote any suggestions on BRand.

Most I have seen are clipping directly to the plug with the glow starter. That is what I would do is clip directly to the plug. That is what I have always done on helis with forward facing engines.

I like the one from MPI. Been using that one for over a year on my freya. Plus it has a connector that looks like a headphone jack you can just about mount it anywere.

It's breeze to come straight up from the bottom of the model and get to the plug with an alligator clip.

I am using a Radio South glow driver and have for the last several years.

I have two alligator clips on the wire coming from the glow driver.

Even with the twist on or normal pushbutton connector. It is still possible to get to the plug on the Stratus. Clint and few others are using RS glow driver that way on the Stratus.

John's MPI setup is really neat. Works well and looks good too !

I use the simplist remote glow made. Sold as Thunder Tiger or Maverick.

I've never had one fail unless it was after a CRASH!

For some reason there is a big differance in price between HP and Ricks.

The reason for the price difference is that Rick's sell the TT part number and Heliproz sells their house brand Mavrikk. they are essentially the same.

I have had the TT brand loast a hell of a lot longer than the Mavrikk brand. I ahve had the mav brand fail where the wire meets the plug you hook your glow driver to in as little as a few flights. The TT brand last a LOT longer with me. I do like a lot of the Mavrikk brand stuff though and have had good luck with most of it.
