Hi guys,
I finally got to see my first heli fly for the first time yesterday! (Trex 600n). It was a great feeling.
Anyway, now that I'm flying, can anybody point me to a link to or have any general guidlines for maintaning a heli, eg change bearings after 100hrs, change ball links after 20hrs... that sort of thing.

You'll crash before too much wears out.
Keep an eye on the links, screws into metal and plastic ( feel for spinning or loose washers) look over the flybar cage, and the up/down play in the mainshaft.
other than that, keep your blades tight, lube the mainshaft and tail shaft and have fun.

My prob is keeping track of what I replace and when. I can't remember the last time I replaced tail drive gear bearings....

If they're smooth and tight, don't sweat it.. Use a crash repair as an opportunity to give the entire heli a good inspection.

A good time to look over the heli and do some preventative maintenance is when you are cleaning up after a flying session. Lots of people complain about having to clean nitros (its not that messy) but I take five minutes or so to go over and check links, link balls, screws, the head, tail, and so on. Can catch something that needs replacing before it gets bad.
