Hi guys
I think I'm ready to join the "Elite" Logo Flybarless club:Bang
Only choice now is which one to get. The 500 3D or the 600 3D?
I've currently got a Trex 450 SE, a Trex 600E and a Knight 600E, all of which I love to bits.
Any thoughts on which to go for?
Regards
Neil

Well let us ask you what packs do you have currently for 6S?? As this would be the easiest transition from your existing stock to a Logo 5003D. Now that being said the 4900 6S do not fit, at least not giving perfect CG. However the 5000 and 5350 packs do fit., And to make note there is no comparison of a 5003D with 550s versus your 600E rex on 6S, seriously the performance of the 5003D on 6S will blow you away with a decent setup.

Thanks for the response Shawn
I currently have the Kongpower 6cell 5000Mah for my Trex 600, and have just purchased the Kongpower 2cell 5000Mah to add in series to fly my Knight as an 8cell setup.
You are right...batteries are a very real problem when it comes to buying the Logo, it's always nice to be able to piggy back of your current batteries.
But I really like the idea of the 600;)...tell me I'm mad! Please!

Having tried the similar (identical?) AirThunder 6S 5000mAh pack in my L500... it doesn't fit...
However, as Shawn says, the choice is mostly based on what packs you can afford. As much as I love my L500, I'd take the L600 any day over it. Now I just hope the L500 didn't hear me type that.
The pack price difference is the killer - using FP 6S 5000mAh EVO25 at $300/pack for the L500 vs. FP 10S 5350 EVOLITE at $530/pack makes it rather stark.
I flew them back-to-back today, and again, I love how they both fly. My L500 probably needs some more V-Stabi tweaking, but the L600 flies noticeably better.
So yes, you're mad, but in a good way!

Mad as, but then we all are, if you go the 600 you wouldnt regret it. Mate of mine bought the 500 and then HAD to get the 600 as well!

Sad to say, Klinger's right - you really got have both. The 500 flies brilliantly - the 600 just leaves everything else for dead (if you don't believe me check out Tom and Max's drag races (http://www.helistore.at/vids/windern07_dragrace.wmv)). If you like short mega-hyped up flying go Logo600 but for great flying and endurance of 6:30 with cheaper packs (I made up several 6S 3700s) go for the L500 it's a great intro to the 600 and has many of the same features.
PS Logo flyers aren't elite - we just know we fly the best machines.

Hi guys,
I would like to join the club too, Logo 600 v-stab seems to be a great choice. Anyway, 10S packs are so expansive, that why I'm wondering if I could make me a setup with a 6S 5000mah with some 600mm blades ?
My flying skills are moderate, I''m doing only soft 3D
Thanks for your input

If you wanna do that go Logo 5003D V-Bar on 6S - don't even think of trying of trying the 600 on 6S:thumbdown:

Thank you... Dunno which one to choose. Maybe, I'm gonna wait for the 600 as soon as I can afford some 10S packs.

Thanks for all the responses guys:hug:
I've noticed that most guys are flying the 500 on 6 cell, and the 600 on 10 cell, what about flying the 600 on 8 cell?
I fly my Knight on 8 cell at the moment. What do you think?

I also fly a knight on a Flightpower 8s 4270 Evolite!! I think an 8s setup on the Logo 6003D would be great! I may go to a 8s setup on my Logo 6003D when my 10s pack dies. This way I will have 2 helis that use the same pack, they are a little cheaper and performance is still very good imho.

Hey Lith
Didn't realise you had a Logo too! Took a fair amount of your advice when seting up the Knight...and now the Logo:noteworthy Thanks.
I know that I should really be buying the Logo500, but for some reason I really want the 600 with Vbar. I'm just scared I go for the 500 and then wish I went for the 600!
10 cell is just sooo expensive, can't justify it really. But eight cell I maybe can do. Then again the 500 on the many 6cell packs I already have might be the ticket....decisions, decisions....

You could go for a 500 now and upgrade to a 600 later on! Frame is the same, main difference is the boom & the tail! Also few parts of the head are different - but you can use the VBar, all electronics, etc.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but if the frames are the same as are most of the other parts, except for the slightly bigger head and longer tailboom, then surely the Logo600 doesn't weight much more than the 500?
Will a logo 600 on 6 cell fly better than a Trex 600 on 6 cell?

Yes it dose LOL, the darn poblem is the 500 on 6s out flys the 600 on 6s.

If you are carefull and have a bit of patience you can dissasemble and redo your 6s packs into 5s packs and then connect a couple of them for a 10s pack. I had 2 6s 4900 packs and 2 6s 5000 packs for my rex and now I have 1 10s 4900 and 1 10s 5000 for the logo. Be warned DO NOT let any connections touch when doing this. And you will need some shrinkwrap that measures 4.5 inches accross when flat. I plan to build a couple of 2s 5000 packs with the left over cells for the electric truck I just picked up for the kids. Good deal all around.
Please be carefull if you plan on doing this.

Did you have to solder onto the tabs? Or are there wires to join? Is it aluminium?

Ok chaps, thanks for all the help and advice.
I've come to the comclusion that I'm only kidding myself trying to justify all the different options:lol:
I'm going with the 600 3D with Vbar.:YeaBaby:
Now all I need to decide on is the motor, esc and batteries. I've already got the JR8717 servo's.
Thanks again.

Oh thats easy then, actro 32-3 motor, kontronix ESC (the 200A peak one) then some 10S flightpower packs 3700 or 5350MAH

Never heard of the Actro motors. Judging by the price, the must be awesome! Is this a good motor, both power wise and longevity wise?
Is the esc you are refering to the Castle Creations 85HV?
Is this setup going to give me serious power? What sort of run times can I expect?

the actro motors are awesome, plenty of power in the 32-3 and the 24-4 and 24-3's are great as well for this setup, little less powerful! Longevity, the motors are built well but are amp hungry on the batteries, the price you pay for power.
The Kontronik ESC he's referring to isnt a CC item, far superior in performance and governing modes. The Jazz 55-10-32 is the cost effective one but will be pushed to its limit on the 32-3 motor. Otherwise the powerjazz will handle any motor you throw at it and then there's the new Jive HV coming out but isnt released yet, sit down when checking prices against a CC unit but as i said there the best.
Battery wise, the FP Evo25 3700's will again be pushed pretty hard in a hardcore 3D setup and wil give you 4 to 4 1/2 minutes flight whilst the FP Evolite 5350's are probably the go giving you around 6 minutes flight but again sit down when pricing.
You can buy much cheaper stuff but the setup your looking at has the power your probably looking for!

I do not think you will find a setup with more power than the 32-3 actro, its meant to be crazy. That is the setup i'll use with the power jazz.
Yes only thing is the lipos, i've got some 4250MAH 18C (76.5A cont) and i think i need better ones.
At 500-600US per 5350evolite 10S i think i may have to wait!

I havent used the 32-3 but my setup with a neu 1915-1Y is also a killer. those 18C lipo's will get smoked in no time on these setup's!
