Just been ripped off on eBay from user name canofreak (Carlos Fernandez)
I paid for it with PayPal and as soon as he replied finally to my e-mail, he removed the item after I had already paid for it! and I can not reach through ebay because his e-mail is no longer working either.
I don't understand how ebay can remove an item that was just won and paid for?!?!
Makes no sence that a user can remove a legal transaction.
Anyways, stayc claer of canofreak.
It was for a 450 :arggg:

Thanks for the heads up on Carlos Fernandez. May I also add the name of Luis Paderas to the list of crooks. Cheaphobbiesonline.com- don't go there....
I've had great experiences on line but there is always going to be some thief out there waiting to steal our money.

Well after ALL the bad signs AND eBay telling me to:
"We strongly recommend that you do not complete this purchase."...
"***If You Have Already Paid***
If you have already paid for this item but have not received it, you should act quickly to get your money back."
He closed the item even after I won and paid for it... the tracking # was no good (at the time)
AND his e-mail wouldn't work either anymore...
I may have to recant on the warning because I just may get my Trex 450 after all?!
I finally got a good tracking number so we'll see when and if it gets here.
It's amazing that after all the seemingly unending signs that I got screwed, I may not have after all.
Now that would be nice.:thumbup:

if you paid with paypal file a dispute IMMEDIATELY with them

This is regarding cheaphobbiesonline.com. In my previous post I miss-spelled Lius' last name. It is Luis Pajares.
I did file a complaint with IC3- Internet Crime Complaint Center on Tuesday. Maybe they had something to do with this crook shutting down. I hope so. I will feel vindicated if that is the case.

this is carlos fernandez, i just noticed this message posted here on helifreak, what is the deal, I am pretty sure you have recieved the canopy in a timly manner, ebay closed my ebay account for other reasons nothing to do with theft, I sent out all item sold on ebay, and if you had a problem why didnt you file a paypal dispute for a refund this happened not only to you but to multiple ebay bidders that recieved the same emay and the item was shipped out already so they filed paypal disputes and waited for the items to get to thier destination then canceled the dispute, my pay account is open and active the is no theft intended what so ever as a matter of fact I have done and sold multible canopies on my web site and never had a complaint, if you already recieved this canopy please reply and I would like a responce on this issue you may also contact me at info@djceelo.com, paypal also has my email you could have emailed me directly like the other ebay bidders did, not jump the gun and start a thread about a simple mistake that was made.

I have checked my paypal account and there has not been any claims or disputes open, so I am under the impression that the person who started this thread received his canopy and left this thread open, I am looking to resolve this issue, I am not a thief, I started painting canopies for my friends and other pilots at our local flying field for, then opened the web site because everyone was asking me if I had a site to see the canopies I have done, I have never had an incident with anyone, and this thread is very upsetting to me because I am not out to con anyone out of a few bucks, this was wrong because the person that started this thread should have contacted me through paypal like the other customers did. I would really appreciate a response.

So whats the ending to this story? Did you get the canopy? If you did you owe it to Carlos to clear it up on here since his name is 'tarnished' now.

Thanks for the feedback, Yeah I don't know what is the ending because he has not replied back to the thread nor has he ever opened a paypal dispute, paypal is the safest way to pay there are tracking numbers and information that they require so he probably recieved the canopy and just left this here to stay i guess...

it's one thing to slander a company if they did you wrong but if they made it right, don't leave it open like that. hopefully he got the canopy and edits his post. :cheers

eBay told me to stop transaction BUT I already paid for the item.
I did get the item, so YES... at this point I did not get ripped off. BUT, because of the way he explained why he closed his eBay account and did not respond to my eBay messages and how he told me that he doesn't check his eBay messages (which should go through to his regular email so he should see the communication) I would not personally purchase from him again. There was no reason for the confusion and I had every right to be upset that multiple red flags were given to me AND ebay said to get my $ back if I could.
All in all, some people communicate well, and others do not. I could not get a response in good time and had decided to post a warning here.
For anyone who wishes to purchase from canofreak, I would give him a try. But, it's your choice and your money.
We all make mistakes, and we all deserve a second chance. Just don't buy and pay before communicating if at all possible.
PS. I did file a Pay Pal dispute claim because eBay advised me to do so. I just dropped any further pursuite of it.
Sorry for the confusion, I've been away and have not been on the boards here for quite awhile.
