I want to build a Gaui 200 and looking for electronics. Would the servos in this flight pack work without any modifications?

I have a DX7 so the receiver will work great, and I'll probably be getting a LogicTech 2100T gyro.

Thanks

Yes those will work without mods. But, you'll be limited to those servos because of the jst plugs on the reciever and servo ends if you want to change in the future.

Thanks. I don't plan on changing the servos :)

Then they will work fine. You should get the DSP to go with those servos. Really helps with the DSP60's.

sounds like it will be lite. 6g servos vs 8 g for the hs45's. the rx is a pinch lighter too. uh oh, we have a weight freak in our midst:shock:

For the gyro and esc, you will need an adapter/new connector.

I made a mistake when I was looking around for my electronics for this bird. Since it was a really small heli, I figured a little more weight would really affect the flight characteristis, which it doesn't all that much. Get the best servos, gyro, etc. that you can and you don't need to be all that concerned about the weight. The recommended RTF weight is no more than 5% more the 250g which is almost impractical, and it has plenty of power, so it's not a problem. I think most guys around here would agree with me that the bird is nose heavy, so if you get really nano lightweight stuff, your going to have to CA everything together and expoxy everything to the end of the battery tray ! Get the hitec HS-45s and the spartan ds760 and the futaba 3154 for the tail, and you'll be set

Totally agree about the weight. At my no-3D skill level, it's a non-issue; this thing would fly fine at 300 grams. I think mine's at 268.

I assume you meant to say tail heavy. I don't know of any nose-heavy Gaui 200s.

Yes that's what I meant. Sorry for the misconception. Even if you're planning to get into some 3D which I do, I don't think that the weight constraints are a huge deal.

So you're saying it's better to go with the AR6100 receiver and HS-45 servos. What kind of batteries can I use with this heli, currently for my HB-FP I have 2 megapowers 2s 850mAh 12C which weigh about 45g.

Thanks

Yes, and the batteries you have should work fine too.

Your 12C batteries might be struggling a bit. 15C is more like a minimum requirement. I 've been thinking about getting 20C ones, to replace the 15's that came with mine

What about a 3s setup, is it significantly better than 2s. How big of a battery would fit in there?

Awais, i recieved a Gaui 3s pack and am now having problems fitting it under the 9g canopy. Have you made a custom battery mount yet, to try and improve the COG??? Look for earlier posts on this but it does work well for the 2s, just may need a bit of tweaking or a Mk2 for 3s. I agree about 12C being a little under powered. I used to use Eflite CX2 packs with mine, which i'm sure were 12C and they were just not as good as the 15 & 18C packs that i use now.
