With thanks to HC and the crew at Blacksheep this weekend another 3D 50 Knight is ripping up the skies without a flybar !! It took a number of set-up trial and errors but it's now locked in and flies great. Takes a little getting used to but might even make a below average pilot like myself look like I know what I'm doing.

Did you use a mikado T-Rex 600 conversion kit or how did you modify the head. I want to convert as well. Greetings

Used the 4018 swash driver and had a friend machine the blade grip extensions. Compass is coming out with a conversion kit, metal blades and head shaft less the flybar arm hole. You can also use Mikado grips available at Espirit Models.

Ya I guess I should think that one over for a while.... But I'm thinking it would be nice for one of the other K3d airframe's I got sitting here... I landed the 600E it was just a but harder and sooner then planned...

With some smooth talking I convinced sir Erickson from Erickson's flight school to let me fly his flybarless knight. It flew like a knight on staroids. It was NICE!!!!

I have seen Bill make some pretty wild moves with his flybarless knight, very impressive & seems real smooth...
Its just a shame the electronics are so expensive...
I guess when it gets more popular the prices will become more reasonable.

well 360$ for the SK-360 is not that much (but you have to have already the gyro). I got a crash with mine and i have to say that i spent only few $$ on replacements because there is no flybar so this might be a good return of investment :-)

Hi guys,
A while ago it was mentioned that Compass was coming out with a conversion kit, metal blades grips and head shaft less the flybar arm hole. Anyone know when we can we expect this release?
