GY401 gain setting w/o programable Tx

Hello,

I am posing this question for a friend... He is flying an E-Sky Belt CP, with the stock Tx.

My question is this:
Is it possible to set up the gain on the GY401 without a programable Tx.
Is the Delay pot on the gyro the same as the Gain? (That is what he is being told by the hobby shop)

It wont initialize correctly without the remote gain wire connected and configured correctly either.

yes you can.. there's a new product.. very cheap, called gs1000.
in you tube, there's a vidz on setting it up (not in english).. you
can try find more about it yourself..
