Blasphemy I know. Let's face it. Every helicopter is rated by the bench mark Trex. Yes I love my Gaui's. yes I would still fly them.
If Align should maker a 200, I'd definately get one. I personaly believe it would be better than a Gaui 200. Align makes good stuff, they have the market share and the muscle. All hail the almighty dollar and the joy and pain it brings us in this lovely hobby.

Well,
You have three GAUI-200's, no-one can question your loyalty, comrade Buzzkill....
I think we both have a couple of 'Rex's, almost the diff between night and day, is'nt it.
I wonder if the two camps bother to listen to this little backwater?
If there was to be a T-Rex-200, it would only be a result of GAUI's inability to serve thier target market. They should have this sewed up by now, pushing the Align people into the larger rotors, and getting a huge share of the newb and indoor market.
Whatcha say GAUI?

The first T-REX was good, but far from perfect.
continually improving got them in like Flynn.
I won't give up on Gaui unless these same defective parts are still in circulation a few months from now, I guess.

I won't give up on Gaui. Align does have he ability to dominate the 200 class just by making one. There doing a the 700, 90 size heli. Where else can they go? Unless the start doing flybarless stuff and slap it on revamped Trex's with the new gear.

Yeah,
As I said before... I'll keep on. The 200 is way good, despite the faults, it's just the stupids, and the silence, from GAUI that's getting to me.... I'll get better, besides, she's so cute!
But I took off for a few minutes and did some checking, phished the align group (jeez, big on vacumn cleaners, they are), and launched an email or so.
If there's an Align-200 on the horizon, I'll bet you a set of see-saws I'll know it or have a noteworthy disclaimer within 48 hours. (yeah, brag-brag-brag, just before the shockwave hits...;-).

I'll be the first to get a T-rex 200, but it will not make me unfaithful to my Gaui, though.
I can have both - can't I?

Heck Petey,
You could fly an Oldsmobile, and we'd still like 'ya!!

Just remember, the 450SE-V2 was NOT the first of the Trex 450 line. It has gone through changes and upgrades from the first edition. Look at the troubles with the 500 now. I like Align, but they can have problems just like any other manufacturer.

I don't think that we should give up on the Gaui just yet. A few people have some good valid points, such as the T-Rex 450 wasn't the heli that it is today without two year of further development, which hopefully will be the case with the Gaui, lets just hope that it doesn't take quite that long .
I'm just as frustrated as most of you guys are, but I think that we should try to stick it out a little while longer until pulls their head of their 'arse' and starts to make progress again. We all know they have it in them because they came up with this little guy, but the need to keep at it. It's almost as if the whole company is like a 6th grader who just finished his first math exam, and now isn't going to do anything for another 2 or 3 weeks until he recooperates . I think that we should send the link to the "Wish List" thread to Gaui and see what they say.

I'm not giving up on the Gaui 200, I just think an Trex 200 would be sweet as hell.
I sure wish I had one of those cnc machines. I'd make some sweet other word for donkey mods!!
For example:
1. single side cf frames and cnc blocks (like the Trex 500 and so on).
2. Gyro/Battery tray (Align 450 mod style or the CrabFu version).
3. See-saw arms with some beef.
4. Front of main gear motor placement for COG (gryo on the back, reciever under or over battery)
5. CF BLADES !!!! damn it.
6. Bigger landing skids (not much maybe an inch ground clearance after forward stance).
7. CNC tail servo mount.
Etc, etc.......

I'm workin' on it! ;) I've got some friends with really cool metal benders and other machines that can cut metal with an accuracy of up to 1 nanometer. I'm workin' on it! ;)

Flat stock Aluminum would work for the see-saws. Wouldn.t be pretty but it would work. If only I had a drill press for my Dremel. Well that and a job at the moment lol.

Well,
FWIW, we probably got enough capital up here to start our own company.
<...this would be an enormous mistake, but fun... Surf-CEO, Crabfu-R&D, Buzzkill-Chief Test Pilot, Heli-Cuzz-Manufacturing, Petey-Legal & PR, Rotorhead58-BlackOps, Rest of you guys take out time to look good in the ads and fly the free heli's, okay? ;-) >
The best way to become a millionaire, is to start with several million, and then buy some airplanes....

I read you guys though, I'm frustrated too, but I'll stick it out as well.

I'm not kidding guys, I have a friend who's into helis as well that is a CNC machinists by trade and has access to professional CNC machines. I just emailed him, and I'm waiting for a reply. He restores 20 yr. old helis, and when he can't find a replacement part, he makes one. Should be cool. :)
