I have an OS 50SX-H Ring engine. This is not a Hyper motor. This motor produces 1.8 Hp (the Hyper has 1.9 Hp). Can I "upgrade" this motor to a Hyper ? From what I can find, the Hyper has a different head and bigger carb. So can I fit the Hyper head (blue head) and the Hyper carb to my OS 50, converting it to a Hyper ?
I have an OS 50 SXH which I procured the bigger carb for and there is a very noticable difference. From what my naked eyes could see there was no difference in the combustion chamber on the hyper over the normal SXH. I could be mistaken though. The Hyper head does have more cooling capacity, which may (or may not) allow a leaner burn producing more power.
Those are my findings.

The carb is the big difference. Everything else, except for the external design of the cooling head is identical.
Crank shaft, piston, rod, crankcase, bearings... all the same part number between the two

I have a crack in my OS .50 Hyper engine body adjacent to one of the muffler bolt holes from where the pipe twisted during a crash. I'm 95% sure I can still fly it since the crack is not near any critical engine parts and I was able to mostly repair it with JB Weld, but I have an opportunity to obtain an OS 50 engine body and I'm wondering if it would be possible to just transplant parts from the damaged engine to the new body (I'd also take the opportunity to upgrade the bearings). The current owner is away from home and doesn't know the exact model of OS 50, but it's definitely not a Hyper. How much has the OS .50 engine body changed through the years?

As Cuda wrote, the crankcase is the same between the original SX-H and the Hyper. O.S. Part number 25201000.

My question was broader-ranging than that. I don't know the history of the OS .50 heli engine. Was there any model prior to the SX-H and, if so, did it use the same crankcase? I'm trying to figure out how far back in time the current crankcase goes.
