hi guys and gals

after many years of faultless operation from my F9 flying planks I have recently returned to heli flying.
there are two things that are different about the throttle cut switch.

1. there is no warning on tranny switch on to say that the cut switch is in the on position.
2. the throttle cut stops the throttle servo from moving at all once it has stopped the motor.

is this normal?

Don't know if this would apply to your transmitter, but on my Futaba 8UHS super I've got the throttle cut assigned to the Trainer switch which is spring loaded.

Yes, I used to do that too but now do a lot of teaching.
I don't think it matters switch, it's just strange to not get a warning and for the servo to stop working alltogether upon switching the cut to on.

The throttle cut feature in heli mode also adds a threshold feature.

If you use throttle cut to stop the motor, it will not turn on again unless the stick is below the set threshold. You can program the threshold to be 1%, 5%, 22% or whatever. So you just need to move the stick down and then turn throttle cut off again.

As for the warning, on my Futaba 9CH my left red LED light on the transmitter blinks when throttle cut is active.
