Hi,
We've experimented Raptor 39V2 using gasoline fuel (no methanol or ethanol). It works.
Details:-
Frame: Raptor39V2
Engine: TT50 (TT39 also works but TT50 has better power and cooler)
Fuel: Gasoline octane 95 mixed with 2 stroke engine oil (Petroleum based) ratio 3:1
Plug: Glow plug OS#8 with always on plug power system

At ±$25/gallon for some 30% nitro, paying ±$4.50/gallon for some 93 octane pump gas is the shizzle!!! I wonder how the power is on this?

yes, I spoke with the gentleman, he is using 3:1 oil mix, running a Li-ion battery for the glow plug(constant heat) and thats it. He said OS engines wont last long because the carb seals swell and deteriorate.

Wow.... 3:1 Look at the smoke coming out of that thing, must be a horrid stench and so fun to clean. I wonder how long before the muffler is clogged with oil gunk.

i like the smell of gasoline and 2 stroke oil. However, that engine is probably already gummed up real bad.

If thats the case I guess I'll stick to nitro then. Unless somebody finds carb seals that are resistant to gasoline induced swelling.

viton rubber should work for the seals, but have fun making them. viton is the rubber used to make the needle and seat for gas carbs

Make them? Viton is pretty readily available in o-rings. Isn't that all you'd need?
The next step is to take the engine to spark ignition. Not that hard to do, plenty of airplant flyers have done and continue to convert large glo engines to gasoline and ignition.
It takes extra oil all right as the con rod bearings are bronze, not needles as most ready made gas engines are. The new Saito G36 4-stroke gas engine wants an mix of 25:1 for that reason.

3:1 oil mix is I assume 3 parts gasoline to 1 part oil. What's so unusual about that, its only 25% oil. Just a few points higher than CYB Wildcat Nitro..
I am amazed he can get the nitro motor to run on gasoline w/o pre-detonation becoming a devastating problem..

well when you consider something like a G26 uses 40:1....3:1 is pretty high. :)
