:arggg: I was out flying my nitro SE yesterday and I was getting glitches. I was wondering if you had any ideas.

What would happen is I started it and spooled up and lifted off and was hovering it to just get the feel of the heli and it would go into and out of fail-safe about every 10-15sec. What would be some things that I should check?

I did try a whole new receiver and crystal and it still had the same problem.

Any Ideas :?:

Things to check
Bearings in start shaft block
bearing in clutch bell
make sure space washer is on top of clutch to prevent clutch from rubbing clutch bell

Bearings in front tail rotor transmission

Main shaft bearings

Could be your batteries are having a problem and the receiver is going into battery failsafe due to low voltage.
Check the batteries with about 1.5 amp loaded volt meter and see how low the batteries are. If they are in 3.6 volt range with 1.5 amp load. Then a Futaba receiver will go into battery failsafe mode. I think Airtronics is a little higher voltage, not sure about JR battery failsafe.

Also check your boom supports for loose ends

Two more things I have found. Check the landing gear angles for cracks, usually around the left front l/g mounting hole. Check the two black "dogbone" threaded spacers in between the upper frames, I found the forward one cracked in half, you have to unthread the bolts holding the upper/lower frames together to find the cracked one.
