I have flown Gas Helis over the years. Started w/ a Shuttle in 1993.
I've had a Kyosho 30, Excel 60 and now still have a Raptor 30 from a few years back. I have the Raptor setup for 3D and do flip flops and inverted w/ it so I can get my bigger jollies w/ that guy. Couple years ago I got a Hummingbird FP. It was fun to fly in the garage or basement but this is darn crummy in forward flight. I'm looking for a new electric. Nothing fancy but I do want to do loops, stall turns and not have it so squirrly in forward flight as the fixed pitch humming bird which is totally out of control when the head speed drops. I'm looking for something RTF w/ a radio for $200-$300. Is there anything out there worth buying or should I drop the idea?

My local hobby shop carries some eflite parts but not that much.

This will not be my main heli, just something to fly in the morning when the wind is nearly nill.

I had seen the adds for the AXE CPv3 but later was looking at the Esky belt CP.

Thx for any advice

I think the best RTF w/radio so far is the Blade 400. From what I've read, no personal experience with RTF helis. And the radio is very nice, but the price is around $450 I think.

Just curious, why don't you use your existing radio?

By personal experience I would stay away from the belt especially as a RTF package unless you are willing to swap all the electronics out and spend more on good stuff.Corsair is right on the money with the Blade. Comes with quality electronics and a nice heli radio you can use with other models. You really can't get much for $200 these days.

The Belt CP is working good for me so far.
