Tired of field charging so been out and bought 4000 mah duralites for my 2 raptors, really looking forward to putting them through their paces

Could any of you great folks post pictures of how you've installed your regulator and battery on the Raptor 50.

How far does the regulator need to be away from the RX?

Mount the regulator as far as the lead will reach from the receiver. The regulator will be connected between the switch and the receiver.

Unswitched Regulator diagram, You will check the battery voltage thru the charge lead that is coming off the switch. Even thou the switch in the picture does not have a charge lead. The yellow lead is for Charging Only.

IMPORTANT READ BEFORE INSTALLING:
• POSITION the regulator as far away from the receiver as
possible.
• DO NOT put the regulator on top of the receiver.
• DO NOT measure the battery voltage from regulator output.
• DO NOT attempt to connect the outputs of two regulators
together.
• SHOCK MOUNT the regulator.
• Do not cover up the ends - leave open for air to pass through.
• Soft mount by using Velcro to strap it down.
• Never use wire ties to mount.
• Shock mount the switch in the switched models as well.
• Do not put the regulator between the battery pack and the
switch. The regulator draws current and will kill the battery if
incorrectly connected thereby voiding your battery warranty.

The last one is talking about the regulator without the safety switch incorporated into it.
