Have charged using a duralite charger and now using there load tester it is showing 8.33V. Is this normal I thought these batteries where meant to give 8.4V once charged?

The only reason I ask I have seen other posts which have said if the voltage is below 8.4V on initial charge you have probably got a dud cell

Under a 1 amp load I'm getting 7.79V

Q. What should the battery voltage read once charged?
A. All 7.4 volt Duralite plus lithium packs should read 8.2 to 8.4 volts with no load and 7.5 volt or better with a 1 amp load. 11.1 volt packs should be 12.4 to 12.6 no load and 11.8 or better with a 1 amp load.

Q. Can you test off either the black or yellow lead?
A. Yes but the loaded readings will be about .2 volts higher on the yellow lead.

Q. Can you charge through the black lead?
A. No, there is a diode in the black lead which prevents this for safety.

Q. How long will the pack take to charge?
A. Depending on the pack i.e. 2000 mah or 4000 mah, any where up to 6 hours.

You should have gotten this instruction sheet with your battery that is on page 1 of this PDF file
http://www.duralitebatteries.com/pdf/instructions.pdf

7.4 Volt Li-ion Battery Pack
• Plug the male end of the supplied 7.4 volt battery charging cord connector
into the female port on the top of the charger. This port is marked REC
and is set at 7.4 volts.
• Stop fly voltage is when you reach 6.9 volts as checked with a
one-amp load lead.
• Check the battery with the DURALITE Digital Load Tester™. If fully
charged the battery will read 8.2 volts or above with no load and above 7.5
volts with a one-amp load. The measurement should be taken on the black
lead. If your set up requires you to measure voltage on the yellow lead note
that it will read .2 volts higher.
• Discharging the Batteries below 5.5 volts will damage the pack.
