Hey
Any one experienced these helis?
Good communications with Management. Seem quite willing to work.
Let me know please
Thinking of purchasing these Helis.
Thanks
D
Yes I own one.
The factory are very helpful, and pro-active if their is a problem.
Communications is very good.
Order it with the belt drive, IMO the TT isnt quite there yet.
Besides that, it flies beautifully.
Quality of machining is outstanding.
The 2 things I'd wish for.....better TT and less weight, but all gasser pilots would like less weight lol.
Im very happy with my bird, but she doesnt get flown much lately. Purely because of some niggly tuning issues and a lack of cash to fix it if I make a boo boo right now :D

Hey Gorn...
What's the problem with the tuning on the machine? You did mention it briefly when I saw you last Saturday but we didn't go into any detail. Mine is running pretty smoothly after I spend quite a bit of time fiddling with it, but I have to admit that it is fairly complex to set up after the electrics.

Hi,
I have also the experience that Service and support of Realheli are at a very high standard!
@Gorn,
What are the problems with the torque tube? One negative experience I had was that the TT was broken after the maxum set down hard and flipped sideways after a glitch in the receiver (never use a futaba G3 receiver in a gasser!). But I think it is common for a TT that it can be damaged easier than a belt. I was thinking of making a metal one, because it handles impact loads better (for example when the tail blades touch the ground slightly causing an extra load on the TT).

My TT broke without touching the tail, and no rough landing.
However I had been having extreme engine vibes at one stage, enough to make it dance on the skids.
The TT shaft was very easy to twist by hand, so is weak anyway.
I made a replacement from an Easton arrow shaft (wrapped carbon) that was about twice as stiff.
The small TT gears are very small, and although they never gave issue, it was always in the back of my mind.

I had to change my exhaust header. Since then tuning has been a PITA as my settings I had n o longer applied. Much shorter header, so it shifted the power range.
The motor had pre-ignition problems due to stupidly running premium fue and too large a spark plug gap.
At the Coffs funfly, we reset plug gap, regular fuel and tweaked away.
Got it running really nicely.
Get home here, different weather conditions and altitude, ran like crap lol.
Then I ran out of patience and have been having a rest from it for a little bit.
I'll get there, but my patience for all things heli is rather thin right now.
When it becomes fun again, then I'll get back on the horse so to speak.
Cheers
