Hey all,
I have a question.
At present I have a TP-1010C with a 210 Balancer that I use with all my
TP packs that I have. (no problem there).
If I want to purchase a different brand LIPO that requires charging through a JST-XH balancer/charging lead (like align for eg) as opposed to the deans lead / TP Balance tap like the TP packs, how exactly do I go about connecting this JST pack to the 1010C to be charged.
Is there an adapter, do I need a different charger?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
~NF

You can make / buy an adapter ...
Many online hobby shops sell them.

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5099&Product_Name=Female_JST-_Male_Polyquest_4S
Polyquest / Hyperion / Flight Power all use the same connector as TP.
Just search for jst-xh tp adapter. Make sure you get the female end jst-xh and the male end TP

Thanks for the reply. However the problem is not connecting the JST-XH type charge/balance connector to the TP balancer, but connecting the JST-XH charge/balance connector to the power output connector on my 1010C.
The TP210 balancer cannot charge through the balance port, only balance, so how do I get current from the 1010C charger, into a Lipo that can only be charged through the balance/charge connector not the motor wires like a TP pack.
I hope im not confusing anyone here. :thinking:thinking
Thanks.

Align, and every other Lipo packs out there are charged just like your TP packs ... charged through the "Deans" connector and balanced through the balance connector.
There are some chargers that charge directly through the balancing tap (FMA Direct Cellpro 4S for example), but that connector cannot charge at more than 4 Amps.
Your 210 balancer is interfaced to your TP1010 (you have the interface cable right), so the charge will stop should there be a significant balance problem.
Do you have the latest firmware on your TP1010 ... ie: can you charge Nimh, Nicad, etc...?
