Ok, here we go...I've looked in other posts, but have some spec. ques.

Questions:
-Who all makes quality gas helis and what are they?
-What one would most say it more superior?
-Are gassers the biggest helis, if not what is the biggest?
-Can an engine other than Zenoah that has electronic ign. be used on a gas heli (i.e. 3W)?
-How well will a gas heli do 3D (does it have the ability to be as quick responding, lightweight, and aerobatic as a nitro)?
-Are gas helis CCPM?

I am toying with the thought of making a mean gasser in the future, and want to see if it is worth the investment.

I have been flying RC airplanes for ~5 years and work in a hobby shop. I am attracted to the larger/aerobatic side of RC (seeing I have a 33% cap, and an unfinished 44% ultimate). Recently I have gotten into helicopters and they fascinate me. I am looking to possibly take it a step further in the future after I see how things go.

I am looking for something near the "ultimate" heli. I'd like it to be one-of-a-kind, responsive, tight, and impressive.

From a few people I have chatted with on forums have said that I shouldn't waste my time with gas helis...they are generally underpowered/sloppy/heavy/and thus don't do 3D as well as nitro. Now..I don't like to be told that something couldn't be done...because I'd try to do it. I would like to know the ins and outs of gas helis...or at least somewhere I can find that info. Would a gas heli be worth making a huge project heli out of?

I'll end it here and add anything else if I remember/come up with anything. I look forward to replies.

If you want a gas machine that is good for 3D. The MA Spectra G is the best performing gas machine available period. Check the videos below.

Yup Will is right...

I have a Spectra-G and although I'm no 3D Pro I cando some flips and rolls and such without aproblem, I had 2 Fury Extreme's prior to the Spectra and I dont miss them.

Plus I can do lots of other stuff like Aerial Video with the Gasser ...

I have a Pred Gasser. I've had it for a season now, with the 231 engine, Its got gobs of power. and although I'm not a hardcore 3d'er I'm workign on it. I wouldn't trade it.
