Just a quick question..

On your nitro setup are you using:

Carbsmart

Governor

Both

And is it really necessary to use both?

Well they both perform very different functions, and you need neither to fly the heli. Personally I have both on my R60.

True but just wasn't sure why some pick one above the other..

if you had to pick one, i'd take the gov. the gov provides some engine control that is just not possible with curves, even if set up very well. the carb smart provides realtime mixture control. but, a properly, manually tuned engine will run well without the carb smart. there's arguments both ways. but, IMHO the gov offers more of a performance return.

like others have said though, it's not a very good comparison. you may as well have asked carb smart or carbon blades? they're equally unrelated optional upgrades.

A CarbSmart works better with a Gov - fewer load/heat changes to deal with. The Gov works fine without a CS. If you can only buy one then get the Gov, if you can afford it, get both, they work in a synergistic way.
