hi,

I have a venom micro 3d helicopter (same as walker 52, if i remember correctly).

The problem is when I start spinning it up, the helicopter shakes a lot, making it almost uncontrollable. Another problem, is it wont stop rotating (I have to put the trim completely to the side, and even then i still have to fight it with the controls). as if that that wasn't enough, when i give it a little more power, i noticed it tends to fall backwards and on its side... I haven't even managed to get it off the ground yet.

would anyone have any ideas/tips of how i can fix this problems, or know where I can find the appropriate information to learn to set it up correctly?

Thanks

Reset all your trims. I think on this bird, the throttle needs to be trimmed all the way down.

Take off the canopy. On the control box, there should be two dials. One marked GAIN and one marked PROPO....

Actually, I have a better idea, just watch these videos by Funscale:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8172940920636541436

That is part 1. Watch all the parts. 99% of it applies to your bird as well.

Shaking heli....
Your blades may be too tight in the grips.
Your blades may not be balanced.
The flybar may not be in the exact center of the mast/head.
Your paddles may not be the exact same distance off the head.
Mainshaft bent? Did you have a 'mishap' at all?

There are a few things to look at. I'd go to the Finless Tech vids and check out set-ups and blade balancing... You won't be wasting your time and you'll learn quite a bit.

If your heli is not listed in the vids, that's OK. The basic info given holds true for most helis. Good luck and let us know how you make out with your adjusted heli.
