DX7 & Telebee Help

Just installed the DX7 and a Telebee HH gyro (http://www.rcuniverse.com/buynow/keywordclick.cfm?bid_id=5302). After stripping another main gear, everything is figured out except the gyro. I tried a hover but had to fly the tail seemed no gyro effect. It appears that it is working, it initializes, the light goes on, the servo works, but it doesn't react like it should from the videos I have seem. There is no reaction if you move the tail. It doesn't try to correct, there is no noticeable tail movement. The gain is set all the way up on the gyro, and I tried 100 and 72 in the gyro menu on the DX7. Don't know what the ATV adjustment does. Please help.

What do you have the gyro leads plugged into? and, do you have the gear channel set to GYRO in the model menu?

They are plugged in correctly and yes the Gear channel is set to gyro.

just a thought, you do have it mounted in the correct orientation? its a 'vertical' gyro not a 'lay down' gyro.
gain on the gyro all the way up to 100 on the gyro and then the remote channel to about 85 (on my EP200). Finless Video explains the telebee quite well.
