A means the Gyro is in AVCS mode
N means the Gyro is in Normal mode.
You can use either the Ch. 5 ATV's or the Gyro menu to adjust the gain and gyro mode.
I would suggest using the Gyro menu, that way the gain can be adjusted for each flight condition. If you use the Ch 5 ATV's, you will have the same gain in all flight conditions.

In the gyro menu, what happens when you set "GYRO" to "INH?" Does this mean the gyro feature is disable? What about "STD" and "GY" under "MODE"? The only thing I see is that if "MODE" is "GY" then the gain say "A" or "N" but if it is "STD" then the gain is 0 to 100 where I guess above 50 is heading hold and below 50 is rate.

Yes. INH means it's disabled.
You want to set it to GY, the A is your HH mode and the N is normal. I've got mine set as follows N = 35 and A = 45 and that works fine for me.
